Do your work.

Do your work, and I shall know you. Do your work, and you shall reinforce yourself.     – Ralph Waldo Emerson

You may have noticed a theme here i.e. quotes/prompts from Emerson's Self Reliance as suggested by Seth Godin and friends His not so subtle way of  encouraging me [and others] to WRITE! about whatever...just write.

I facilitated a session during Open Space that posed the question. above.  I felt the need to inject some art process/drawing/creating and was channeling the energy I retain from Sandra Nickeson and Carol Lark whose names I did speak in that place.  Jean and Imelda from Ballinrobe Estate [social housing] FRC [family resource center] joined me....we all were tired of talking.   We had lovely wax blocks from Germany and big paper.  Imelda drew the map with her color code for Ireland, realizing after putting down the crayons that she had not colored Northern Ireland. ...emotional insight, consternation, reflection which she later shared in the larger group courageously [which did contain two Irish from the North].

The marking of sacred sites, reflections on the land and its mystery and magic were added by Jean.  They both recalled the monumental Giant's Causeway to which they traveled together.  Reading the words added give depth and texture to the colors and shapes.  I hope to see them this week in the West for a repeat of the dance we had together by the lake to encourage health and cleansing in ourselves and in the world.

That's the job, that's our work.   To:  Go in.  Take a risk.  Find out.
